Apr 21, 2016   Comments Off on Misconduct DVD: Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel, Al Pacino Movie Hits Blu-Ray Release Date! Alerts, Misconduct, News and rumors

Lionsgate Home Entertainment brings audiences the DVD and Blu-Ray of Misconduct. As the legal thriller hits its release date, check out this special features clip from the star-studded movie featuring powerhouse performances by Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel, and Al Pacino.

According to Indiewire, the plot follows Ben (Duhamel), as a determined and enthusiastic corporate lawyer. Ben then finds himself caught in between a powerful and corrupt pharmaceutical executive (Hopkins), and his firm’s partner (Pacino). When the firm’s partner seems to have his own ulterior motives, the lawyer becomes trapped by the two towering figures. Ben must race against the clock to discover the truth to protect himself, his loved ones, and the people he was hired to legally defend.

In an interview with USA Today, first-time director Shintaro Shimosawa discusses working with the two most revered actors in the industry, “Working with two of this generation’s greatest actors was everything you could imagine – terrifying, humbling, mentoring but ultimately the most gratifying experience of my life.”

To prepare for their roles, the Any Given Sunday actor adopted a New Orleans accent and worked with FBI Profiler Jim Clemente. As research, Clemente explained to Pacino how his high-powered legal character is also a sociopath. The Silence of the Lambs actor knew a man 40 years ago who worked for the Israeli Secret Service to capture his corrupt billionaire.

Shimosawa adds, “Anthony always felt a scary feeling about him (even if) this man never spoke aggressively or threateningly. He knew this man was deadly. Anthony was chilling on camera, but between takes he couldn’t be a friendlier guy.”

Misconduct arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on April 19th.

Feb 05, 2016   Comments Off on North Dakota Travel Guide features Minot native Josh Duhamel Alerts, News and rumors

North Dakota’s latest tourism campaign hopes to cash in on some native star power.

Actor Josh Duhamel, originally of Minot, is unveiling the campaign today on NBC’s “The Today Show” in New York as part of an effort to entice tourists to North Dakota using himself as a state ambassador.

The campaign will feature Duhamel in a series of promotional materials including the 2016 North Dakota Travel Guide, and its companion, the Hunting & Fishing Guide.

The cover of the Travel Guide features Duhamel on a bluff overlooking the Little Missouri River inside the Theodore Roosevelt National Park’s South Unit near Medora.

Both booklets are updated and released annually by the North Dakota Department of Commerce’s Tourism Division, and each pictures various photos of Duhamel enjoying recreational offerings across the state, such as fishing in Devils Lake, hiking through Theodore Roosevelt National Park and hamming it up with historical reenactors at Fort Mandan.

Along with the print ads, the campaign also features TV spots starring Duhamel, including one shot in downtown Fargo on Broadway.

The actor was brought on to the project last summer for a sum of $475,000 and will also be featured in next year’s Travel Guide. [Source]

Nov 22, 2015   Comments Off on Josh Duhamel: “I Was A Terrible Model” Interviews, News and rumors

The actor on his former modeling days, life with Fergie and his latest film ‘Lost In the Sun’

“It was like real-life Zoolander…I felt like Miss America when I won that thing,” Josh Duhamel tells me in a confessional tone. It was 1997, and Duhamel, then at the height of his fly-by modeling career, went head-to-head against Ashton Kutcher for the title of Male Model of the Year; Duhamel won. “The truth is I only did that for about a year and a half, and I was really unsuccessful at it.”

It’s not difficult to picture Duhamel striking a Blue Steel down the runway (facetiously or not). Best known for his the Transformer series and romance flicks including Safe Haven, the 43-year-old North Dakotan has also achieved a certain folk appeal on Instagram, where he can often be seen clowning around with his wife, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, and their two-year-old son, Axl. (We particularly dug his recent Halloween shot, in which he was actually a clown.) But in his latest film, Trey Nelson’s Lost In the Sun, Duhamel is trying bad boy on for size, playing an ex-con who recruits a teenage orphan to join him on a criminal spree.

Duhamel called us up to tell us about his newfound evil side, doing the two-step in Texas and fighting with “Fergs” about how to dress their son. “I’ll see paparazzi pictures of my son in leather pants and sunglasses and a scarf,” he laughs. “I’m like, ‘What the hell are you dressing him in?!'”
RO: So you’re not too likable in Lost in the Sun, huh?

JD: He’s a complicated dude, this John. It was one of those things where I read it, and I didn’t see him as a criminal as much as I saw him as a guy who was under a lot of pressure and really desperate. When you’re under those circumstances you make decisions that you’re probably going to end up paying for. I sort of got into the psychology of why rather than who he was.
