I would like to say, for the record, that I have been waiting to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen since the end credits of the first Transformers.  As an old fan of the TV cartoon, I am a huge fan of the film.  I have been in such anticipation of this film that whenever I saw trailers for it, my body would start to tingle.

I finally got to see my Transformers sequel and I liked it.  Transformers picks the story up with Sam Witwicky (played by Shia LaBeouf) going off to college.  Before he can leave his family home and make his way to college, the Decepticons have set into motion yet another war with the Autobots and the humans.  Now, Sam is the only person with the key to taking down the Decepticon leader, known as The Fallen.

Screenwriters Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman have written a decent script.  The plot is interesting enough, but it seems to be missing that great subplot; there really isn’t one.

Director Michael Bay has a better time with the direction, but the objects and plot points move so quickly throughout the film that certain things are almost missed.  Apparently, Bay focused more on making sure his shots were CGI friendly and less on making sure the audience members could follow. With so much going on, it’s a race for the audience to keep up.

LaBeouf is still a great actor and is perfect for the role of Sam, with his great comedic timing and tenacity.  Megan Fox (Mikaela), however, still needs work.  With her obviously collagen-enhanced lips, I still see Fox as just the girlfriend.

Josh Duhamel as Major Lennox and Tyrese Gibson as Master Sergeant Epps are pretty good as the soldiers who work with the Autobots, protecting the human race from the Decepticons.  Duhamel and Gibson still make a great team and play off of each other nicely.

The Summer Blockbuster Actor Gives His Thoughts on the Movie’s Firepower and Not Wearing a Helmet

He’s upstaged by robots, but Josh Duhamel is enjoying the ride.

Duhamel, one of the stars of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” discussed on “The Early Show” Wednesday what it’s like to be part of a movie that’s taken in more than $200 million in the U.S.

Duhamel has returned to the “Transformers” franchise as field commander Maj. Lennox, who is trying to save the world, alongside co-stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.

Duhamel said playing the military role has to be accurate because there were never less than three or four military advisers as extras on the movie set.

“I’d hear it from them (if I was wrong),” Duhamel told “Early Show” co-anchor Harry Smith.

Duhamel plays the leader of a nonbiological extraterrestrial species team — also known as a NEST. He told Smith he was surprised they didn’t have any bigger firepower since the last film.

American actor Josh Duhamel has revealed that he was left stunned when he heard that people actually believe squirrel is served at his Minot, North Dakota restaurant.

The rodent has been added on the menu at 10 North Maine, but it’s a joke among locals.
“We joked about what was on the menu and (my partner) was saying, ‘What are you gonna serve, squirrel?’” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

“We’re a lot more sophisticated than that – it’s like sushi squirrel!” he said.

Duhamel, 36, a North Dakota native, invested in his friend’s restaurant in 2005 and he’s thrilled to say business is booming.

“It’s doing great. I wish I could take credit for it but I just go there and eat,” he added. [Source]

Before Josh Duhamel battled the bots or supervised the slots he was just another model making his living stripping down for photographers and designers. And one of those snappers talked Josh into taking some shots in his birthday suit. Then when he hit the big time, those photos naturally reared their ugly head.

“To me, it’s funny at this point,” Josh says in the new issue of Men’s Health about the circa 2000 shots. “Whatever. It’s done.” As for the small matter of his manhood, Josh would like everyone to know — much like George Costanza — about a little problem all men face. “It was very cold in the studio, by the way,” he adds.

Now, PopWrap is a family gathering spot, so I can’t brazenly publish nudity. But if you were to, I don’t know, theoretically Google image search “Josh Duhamel nude” you might happen to find the photos he’s talking about. Not that I’ve done it…. [Source]

Josh Duhamel claims even his friends were skeptical when he told them he was going to be on the cover of Men’s Health. “You’re going to be on the cover of Men’s Health?,” he recalls them saying. “You?”

In fact, Duhamel, 36, now appearing in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, tells the fitness magazine that he wants to be remembered for his talent, not just his rugged good looks. And he laughs off those widely-seen nude photos taken of him by photographer Greg Gorman in 2000. “To me, it’s funny at this point. Whatever. It’s done,” he says. “It was very cold in the studio, by the way.”

The actor also talked up married life – he tied to the knot with Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas in January – even if it means having to constantly dodge the prying press. “We try to stay away from the places where the paparazzi hang out. Still, they’re outside the house every morning.”

Don’t tell his wife, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, but she’s not the preferred robot-bashing mood music for Josh Duhamel.

“I mostly listened to ABBA on the set,” admits the hunk, now starring in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” his second blood-vs.-steel adventure as Army Capt. Lennox.

1. For guys out there facing summer bathing-suit season, what is the key to looking so fit?

Honestly, there is no secret. It’s the gym plus you cut the fats and sugars. And it helps when you have a movie like ‘Transformers’ because I remember on the first film, [director] Michael Bay told me, “Come ready. Be in shape. I demand a lot from my male actors, especially in these movies.” So I just tried to be as strong and ready to go as possible for me. I was so glad on those days when I was running non-stop in the sweltering heat. The gym doesn’t begin to prepare you for that one.
