The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky (Shia Labeouf) has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is released in cinemas June 29th in 2D, Real D 3D and IMAX 3D. Josh Duhamel returns to the film as Lt. Colonel William Lennox, check out what he had to say about the film below.

With this being the third film in such a huge franchise, that brings a lot of expectations….

Josh Duhamel: There is an expectation, I don’t think anybody wanted to come in and do the same thing. You’re always trying to find something new, elevate the material, try to make the best movie we can. I was very proud of Transformers 1, and Transformers 2. With Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Michael Bay done a really good job of making it linear, and human. Also the action stuff is really intense, REALLY intense. Michael was really focused on making a fresh version of this movie. I was really pleasantly surprised by how human it felt. I just love the darkness and the violence of it too (laughs). There’s something very scary about it.

Josh Duhamel has said that he was “upset” when he learned that All My Children was ending.

The Transformers star began his career playing Leo du Pres on the ABC show back in 1999, before leaving in 2003.

“I had heard, like a lot of people that had seen the show or followed the show, that it was going off the air and I was sad about that,” he told Jay Leno during an appearance on The Tonight Show.

“It’s been 41 years and that’s the show that gave me my first opportunity and first chance. Part of the reason why it upset me is a lot of people won’t get that chance now. The daytime genre itself is kind of going away.”

Finally, some good news for soap fans!

As viewers continue to come to grips with the unexpected cancellation of All My Children, the long-running ABC soap has announced that a familiar face will return for its final season.

Josh Duhamel, who got his big break in 1999 appearing as con artist Leo du Pres on AMC, is set to reprise his role in an upcoming episode.

“Everyone at All My Children is thrilled and excited to welcome Josh back to Pine Valley,” AMC’s executive producer Julie Carruthers told Us Weekly in a statement late Monday. “The appearance of Leo is sure to be one of the highlights of the season.”

A Pine Valley favorite, Duhamel’s du Pres — part of a soap super-couple with Rebecca Budig’s Greenlee — allegedly died in 2003. When he went off a waterfall trying to save Budig’s character, his body was never recovered, leaving fans to assume he was gone for good.

Duhamel’s air date has yet to be announced.  [Source]

If there’s a pressure to looking good in Hollywood, Josh Duhamel isn’t feeling it. Sure, the Transformers: Dark of the Moon star and husband to pop star Fergie tried to get big and buff for roles early in his career. But nowadays, at the age of 38, his priorities are a little different. “My pressure is the work itself. I don’t really care about [that], unless there’s something specific I have to be in shape for,” says Duhamel, who plays Lt. Col. William Lennox, the military man and Autobots’ pal in director Michael Bay‘s Transformers movies. (The third movie comes out in theaters June 29.) “It isn’t about looking good – it’s about doing good work for me.” I interviewed Duhamel for a cover story on this weekend’s men’s health issue, but read below for more of what he had to say about his health, life at home and a third time sharing screen time with giant transforming robots.

How are your workouts and activities different than when you were younger?
It’s mostly just about staying flexible, staying strong and athletic, and keeping my strength, and that involves running hills, running steps, doing a lot of stretching. I still do some weight work but a lot of it has to do with keeping my joints and muscles strong rather than just trying to get buffed. More isometric stuff, lots of jumping and running. I’ve actually been doing a lot of sprint work lately — I’ll sprint for a minute then I’ll walk for a minute. I’ll do that for 20 or 30 minutes. It keeps me running rather than just jogging on a treadmill.

Actor Josh Duhamel and his pop star wife, Fergie, apparently share everything, including their personal trainer.

And not by choice, Duhamel tells us.

“One day she comes down to the gym and she’s like, ‘So how do I get rid of this back here?’” says Duhamel, 38. “The next thing I know, she is working out with [my trainer] every day — and now she takes him with her whenever she’s gone. So I don’t have a trainer.”

To make matters worse, he adds, he sloughs off when left home alone. “When she’s been gone for a week, I’ve been pretty bad about it,” he says of working out solo. “I did a 15-minute workout today that was worthless. We definitely push each other.”

But the hunky star of the blockbuster Transformers series manages. (The third film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, opens June 29.) When both are at their L.A. home, the A-list couple like to work out together, either outdoors or in their home gym.

Actor Josh Duhamel has been honoured for his fundraising efforts by officials from the American Red Cross.

The star has been a longtime supporter of the organisation and recently staged a charity run in California to help the clean-up operation in Japan, following the country’s earthquake and tsunami disaster in March (11).

Duhamel was the guest of honour at the Red Cross Red Tie Affair in Santa Monica, California on 21 May (11) and he was awarded the special Crystal Cross prize.

He tells, “I had never been honoured in that kind of way. I was like, ‘Really? You’re going to give me an award? OK, I’ll be there!'”

The actor admits he felt compelled to stage the run to benefit the Red Cross’ aid efforts in Japan because of his wife Fergie’s association with the earthquake-ravaged country.
